Injectables & Fillers Procedures

Juverdem Treatment in Cleveland, Westlake, & Strongsville Area.
As you get older, your face begins losing volume, leaving behind signs of aging such as wrinkles, folds, and hollow areas. These effects of aging can be reversed through a professional and artistic use of hyaluronic acid fillers. Dr. Renuka Diwan can help to restore a youthful, smooth-skin appearance using the Juvéderm line of  fillers.

How is Juvéderm Treatment Performed?

Juvéderm Ultra XC and Ultra Plus XC are used at the Laser & Skin Surgery Center by Dr. Diwan. Both of these fillers are approved by the FDA and contain hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance found in your skin. These fillers are designed to replenish your skin’s supply of hyaluronic acid, helping to fill in fine lines, wrinkles, and areas of lost volume.

Dr. Diwan will carefully administer each syringe of Juvéderm into pre-determined locations based on your consultation. Juvéderm can be used in areas of the face, such as around the nose, lips, and mouth. For many patients the skin is numbed with an anesthetic cream for Juvéderm treatment, and because the hyaluronic acid gel is completely natural, there is little risk of an allergic reaction.

The smile and marionette (extending below the corners of the mouth) grooves can be improved by injecting Juvéderm Ultra or Ultra Plus into the creases and filling them out. Juvéderm is also effective in correcting dark circles caused by grooves under the eyes.

How long is Juvéderm recovery?

There is no recovery period associated with a Juvéderm treatment. You may experience some minor soreness, bruising, or redness, but these should fade within days and can be camouflaged with a concealer. Many patients choose to come in for  Juvéderm treatment during their lunch break and return to work in about one hour.

When will I notice the final results of my Juvéderm treatment?

Juvéderm Ultra and Ultra Plus will provide you with instantaneous results, helping to dramatically improve common signs of aging such as the frown creases, dark circles caused by volume loss, the creases around the mouth (parentheses), vertical lip lines, or marionette lines. Juvéderm can also be used to restore fullness to thinning lips. Juvederm Voluma will immediately provide fullness in sunken areas of your cheeks and restore facial balance and youth to your appearance. These fillers provide a natural transformation of your appearance in 30-45 minutes.

How long will my Juvéderm results last?

The results of a typical Juvéderm treatment will last for anywhere from 6-12 months, depending on how much movement there is in a given area. You can enhance the results of your treatment, when needed, by combining Juvéderm with other fillers or injectables such as Botox. As the lines and wrinkles begin to return, you may choose to undergo further treatments to maintain your youthful appearance. Juvederm Voluma provides contour improvement for 18- 24 months.
